¡La Vida Es Buena . . . Vivela!

A Colombiana and a Canadian take an inside look at how Latin women can make sexy look seamless in motherhood.

Micheline and Liana meet during their expatriate relocation to Buenos Aires, Argentina. As an everyday mom of a three- and five-year-old, Canadian Micheline is tired. She hasn't peed with the bathroom door closed in years and has no idea where her workout wear is. Personal time is a vague memory and she avoids mirrors at all costs.

Liana, a Colombiana and mother of a two- and a seven-old, bubbles up. She looks as fresh as a teenager whether she is going to the gym, playing with her girls or heading out for cocktails with her husband. Micheline discovers that Liana finds joy and humour in everything--from grocery shopping to waxing to hangovers. Yes, even hangovers...Through their friendship, they realize that Latin and non-Latin women look at the world with different perspectives on beauty, exercise and mothering.

Micheline decides she wants to take a drink from the Latin cup. After years of personal friendship, humour and outrageous stories, they decide to make it a project. The Beautiful Hangover is born.

England!

Beautiful Hangover friends hello!
It's been a while since the last post on this blog, but here we go... lot's to catch up on!
In the last 3 months many things have happened... Many wonderful and amazing moments and other lessons in life that I will remember for ever...
So we start The Fabulous holidays with, England and the “Parents-In-Law!
After a long but comfortable flight we arrived in England, happy and ready to enjoy our holidays big time.
My Parents-in-law welcomed us as always... with their arms open and smiles from ear to ear. Upon arriving at their house, where we were going to stay, we found our bedrooms looking absolutelyamazing ..they were gorgeous. Sofia's and Emma's room had each of their favorite colors, a closet full of clothes to choose from, books and all the decorations that a girl could dream of... All the details were there!
Our room... Well what can say...I felt like I was walking into aroom in one of my favorites hotels. The duvet was red silk, candles, red roses, my favorite Champagne and chocolates, all the creams from my favorite brand  and even the lamps and the paintings where perfect.
Ok, let me tell you something about my Mother-in-law (Jill).. She is very special and we get on wonderfully well, we love each other... And that's the truth.

We have many things in common...We both can be painful? A real pain in the bottom sometimes.. So from the earliest of days in our relationship we knew that there is nothing healthier thanto have an open and happy relationship and with that comes lots of communication …. and we do communicate! We can talk for days and you will never imagine the subjects..Many times Jules leaves the room when he hears what we are talking about... She loves to have a good laugh, just as I do, so I could write foreverabout the funny moments that we have lived together and the naughty things that we have done!... My Father-in-Law is a witness to much of thisas he is one the receiving end of a lot of our jokes...my poor Giraffe ...(that is what I call him..) He has a long neck!

We came to England to celebrate Jill's 70th b-day... But for several weeks before the day of the party arrived we have been sharing a great time together and our girls were having the best time with their grandparents (Gaga and Granny). Longs walks with Gaga and his dog Fletcher, through the big and amazing parks, so very green everywhere. Picnic days, zoo day and a very special trip to the coast of England just for Granny, Gaga, the girls and their older cousins; they had a wonderful time together playing in the sand, building huge castles and having a good laugh. But this trip was more than just thatthey actually went there to visit a miracle place, the Sanctuary, to adopt one of the many beautiful animals that these amazing people save every day. So Sofia came back with a photo of her newly adopted Shire horse called William and Emma had a photo of her Pony,Kate. Thanks Granny and Gaga for that! And apparently the names of the horses were pure coincidence....

We also went to shows in London, visited some of the greatesmuseums and watched some street theatre in the famous Covent Garden. Of course we also escaped to the fantastic Harrod's for lunch and for a little retail therapy!!

We are still here in England with more fun and surprises to come... I will carron writing about our fabulous break as the holiday continues
If you want to know more about the Sanctuary where you can help a gorgeous animals in need, here is the web for you to visit: www.hillside.org.uk - It is a beautiful thing to do and a fantastic way to teach our kids that the world needs our help, where ever we may be

Coming... Trip to Switzerland!!!
