¡La Vida Es Buena . . . Vivela!

A Colombiana and a Canadian take an inside look at how Latin women can make sexy look seamless in motherhood.

Micheline and Liana meet during their expatriate relocation to Buenos Aires, Argentina. As an everyday mom of a three- and five-year-old, Canadian Micheline is tired. She hasn't peed with the bathroom door closed in years and has no idea where her workout wear is. Personal time is a vague memory and she avoids mirrors at all costs.

Liana, a Colombiana and mother of a two- and a seven-old, bubbles up. She looks as fresh as a teenager whether she is going to the gym, playing with her girls or heading out for cocktails with her husband. Micheline discovers that Liana finds joy and humour in everything--from grocery shopping to waxing to hangovers. Yes, even hangovers...Through their friendship, they realize that Latin and non-Latin women look at the world with different perspectives on beauty, exercise and mothering.

Micheline decides she wants to take a drink from the Latin cup. After years of personal friendship, humour and outrageous stories, they decide to make it a project. The Beautiful Hangover is born.

Switzerland

After our first week in England we flew to Switzerland... To visit my very special, wonderful friends, Rosi and Ulli.

We had a truly fantastic time...  fabulous meals and breakfasts in their garden, sitting under a big cherry tree, we laughed a lot and toasted old and new times!

Every morning Ulli planned to take us to a new place to visit and we were ready to go. Our first stop was at Ulli’s brothers’ farm ...  it is a milk producing farm. So Sofia, Emma and I were fascinated about the whole process,  from milking the cows to seeing the types of foods for them in the different seasons and of course seeing the little calves that were around the place... We were happy for the cows, they have a good life in the large open green fields... We thought about the Argentine cows... They don't stand a chance... At this point Sofia told me "Mami I am going to be a Vegetarian." I always say the same thing whenever I have had a moment of closeness with these sweet animals ..... and literally a few hours later, Sofia, just like I was eating a very juicy steak with no memory of those previous intentions!

Afterwards we took off to the north of Switzerland to visit the Rhine waterfalls  (Rheinfall in German) . This is the largest waterfall in central Europe and it is spectacular... We were all fascinated watching the power and the beauty of nature.
After a long walk, hundreds of photos and plenty of delicious ice creams we were ready for lunch and some well deserved wine...!

Later than evening we walk around Winterthur city. They were celebrating their annual street fair, which just happens to be the largest street fair in Europe?... We had a blast with my friends... Drank the super giant beers and ate the giant, famous sausages... mmm so yummy!

We also went to Santis and from the top of this amazing mountain that is 2502m of high you can see simultaneously Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy and France.
It was an amazing experience and definitely a place that I want to go back to... We spoke with Sofia and agreed that in a few years time we would come back to walk around this stunning mountain again... I hope she does it with me because maybe in a few years time friends and boyfriends will be more important than Mami ... plus I will need to be very fit! Emma was in her element... Climbing rocks and playing with the ice that was still left! Jules haaa, my poor Jules, he is petrified about heights so this wasn’t his cup of tea... but when he was at the top of the mountain slowly, bit by bit his fear subsided and he went on to explore the place... but he definitely did not want me beside him “jumping like a monkey” (as he said), he needed to go at his own pace and rhythm.
It was wonderful for all of us to be there and left us with an incredible memorie!  Säntis...
We finished the day with a very special night in my friends garden. It was time to say goodbye and thank them for being the great friends that they are...

Los adoro amigos y hasta muy pronto! Sorry for finishing your wine supply... haha!
